Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and Answers

1. Who's using this system?
This system has been in use for several years. Programming has been completed to allow other workgroups, consortiums, and regions to adopt this system.

2. Can I track RN, LPN, and CNA clinical events in this system?
Yes. This system was designed to meet every need the steering committee identified for RN, LPN, and CNA scheduling and coordination, as well as leadership tracking.

3. Does this system display clinical events on calendars?
Yes. This system shows clinical schedules in both calendar views and spreadsheet views.

4. Can I see other organizations' calendars within this system?
Yes. The guest area of this system contains a document library of other organizations' calendars and spreadsheet reports.

5. Who enters the clinical events?
Clinical events are initially entered into the system by the clinical site (hospital, long-term care, etc.). Educational partners (colleges, universities, and training facilities) update certain information for each clinical entered. Any changes in meeting days are updated by the clinical site.

6. Do I need to hire someone to run this system for our workgroup or consortium?
No. This system relies on individual workgroup members to enter and update their own schedules. No additional staff is necessary. Organizations retain control of their own schedules.

In the event that a workgroup or consortium has one coordinator as a single point of contact, the system would support all entries entered in by one person if that is how the members want coordination completed.

7. What is the method of pricing for this system?
This system is very reasonably priced and is available to entire workgroups or consortiums. Your workgroup or consortium will be charged a single fee that you may wish to split up among all of your member organizations. There is a one-time base fee for the system and an annual maintenance fee. The annual maintenance fee supports the Web hosting, data backup, and technical support.

8. I've heard of other competing software programs. How is this one different?
Four very big differences between this system and others are:
   Calendar Viewing
While other systems may display schedules in a spreadsheet view, this system represents clinical schedules on both spreadsheet and calendar reports. Calendar reporting is very important since many organizations are using their schedules on calendars before implementing this software.

   Retaining Control of Data
This system allows for individual organizations to enter and update their clinical schedules. Not all competing systems have this feature and instead opt for a single point of contact to enter all organizations' schedules.

   Reasonably Priced
This system is sold to a workgroup or consortium and the cost may be distributed among the workgroup or consortium as you decide. This approach allows your group to decide how to fairly distribute the cost.

   Clinical Contact Hour Reporting
Because this system is much more than a spreadsheet, we have the ability to track clinical contact hours automatically. Simply specify the days the clinical meets, the number of students and the time, and you will have an accurate, reportable number of clinical contact hours.
